Certificate
Andover College's Accounting Certificate program does not require you to have a degree or previous experience to enroll. The credit hours you earn in this program may be applied toward an associate degree program. The goal of this program is to help you find entry-level employment and to successfully complete the Certified Bookkeeper exam* administered by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
Career Opportunities
There are numerous opportunities for accountants due to the nature of the profession. All types of companies need accountants to handle their daily activities. Upon graduation, you can seek employment in public accounting firms, corporations, government agencies, and as an entrepreneur.
* However, the College cannot guarantee a student's eligibility either to take this exam or become certified. A student's eligibility may depend on his or her work experience, completion of high school (or its equivalent), not having a criminal record, meeting other licensure or certification requirements, or the program or College itself having appropriate accreditation or licensure. Externship sites may themselves require a criminal background check or medical examination.
